We’ll welcome you aboard at the Cannaregio Canal , and head out towards the island of San Michele & Murano, a great photo opportunity looking onto Venice from her watery lagoon!! We’ll navigate past the Northern tip of the island of Lido and the full length of Sant’Erasmo to the stunning island of San Francesco del Deserto where you may take a short tour around this lush & green oasis of Cyprus trees and cured gardens of the ancient , but still inhabited Monastery of the Franciscan Friars ( you’ll need to respect their rules, bring clothing to cover your shoulders & decent length shorts/skirts/etc). Onwards to Burano which you may have a walk around it’s colourful houses and famous lace workshops , a wooden footbridge connects Burano to Mazzorbo, a small rural island. The final stop will be Torcello …the original hiding place of the lagoon settlers with it’s 1000 year old cathedral & bell tower, a quiet fascinating picturesque island. Back aboard to return to Venice.
